Waking Up to Uncertainty

An endless stream of consternation
Stymied the expecting light of day,
Instead, groggy from a mocking slumber
The hellish sounds cascaded deep
Into the abyss, once more.

The urge to reach shore is made futile
By dodging a hefty blow of sand,
I fall to resume an unearthly pleasure
To while away the troubles
Of bustle and uncertainty.

The ebb and flow of surrealism
Has been a constant reminder
That cheap flights to reality
Are silent wails of throngs
Of passersby.

Confounded by the pressing source
A dilemma is not necessary
Waking up may serve either only to
Delude or to disillusion,
But uncertainty is always there
To say that hope is not lost.

Love awaits... So I must.
